Biography

Kelly Sisney has the rare title of Christian Comedienne. She claims that all her material is based on her own life and her background in the church. Kelly is a graduate of Kansas State University where she met her husband, David, while traveling together in a singing/dancing performance group, known as the K-State Singers. She is also a member of the Christian Comedy Association, the Christian Business Leaders Association and serves on the board of Beacon Behavioral Health. Kelly's real job is raising two kids, and her husband!

Kelly's unique humor combines hilarious real world stories with a fresh new look at many of the things we struggle with as Christians trying to live in this crazy, human world. Kelly's message of "Humor for the Soul" is thought provoking and hilarious!

Kelly adds her spin on all of life's craziness and hilariously takes you through some of the more humorous aspects of many of our Christian rituals, including her famous Communion sketch!

There are many talented comedians out there, but Kelly's humor is unique. It's not too often that you can attend a side-splitting performance and learn something at the same time. God has helped Kelly perfect her Spiritual Gifts through teaching, acting and an intense study of the Bible.

Kelly has performed in virtually every setting and for all ages and gender groups. She has performed for all size groups from just a few to thousands while traveling throughout the country bringing her message of “Humor for the soul.” God's hand guides this ministry to help each of us realize that He Himself gave us the gift of laughter.

God has led Kelly to remind us that we need to honor Him by being able to laugh at ourselves and stop taking ourselves so seriously.

Through the years, Kelly has perfected her craft by being a volunteer extrordinaire for her church, the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection (COR) in Leawood , Kansas - Currently the fastest growing United Methodist Church in the country. As a devoted lay-leader at COR she has seen the church grow to over 14,000 members in only 14 years - awesome!

She has taught Sunday school to all ages from preschool to high school and has been a storyteller for 11 years. She has written the Vacation Bible School Curriculum for the last 8 years, which is used to teach over 2000 children each session.

Currently, when Kelly is not chasing after her teenagers, she may be found performing in your neighborhood church, talking with youth or traveling to other states to visit with various audiences that need a trip on the higher, humorous road. Her travels have allowed her to present to a vast array of audiences in many different venues.

From performing for small groups to very large, children, youth, or adults; as a keynote speaker, mistress of ceremonies, or workshop leader, Kelly has done it all. Kelly knows first hand how difficult the "Christian Walk" can be for us all. For her it's not as easy as a walk, it's more like a stagger.
